Marshall Drilling Ltd are on Track!
The latest creation from Moorend Ltd is this, the first MultiOne 8.5SK Compact Tracked Loader. Marshall Drilling Ltd took delivery of a standard 8.5SK recently to operate as a support machine to their Drilling Teams, then gave it to Moorend for the transformation to the 4T Track System.
It looks a Beast! The new track system adds Traction, whilst also reducing the ground bearing pressure by a massive factor.

The tracked Norcar was a considerable new addition to our fleet of equipment but its versatility and low impact on sensitive sites has made it a worthwhile investment.

Brilliant company with brilliant machines. Our job would have struggled greatly without the tracked loaders we hired. Not only that the customer service from the team is excellent. Andy and will have gone above and beyond to help Deliver our project and we couldn’t be happier with the service. Great machines and great people.

Andy and the Moorend Team added a track system to our brand new Multi One 10.9 just before it was delivered because we had won a large, year long landscaping contract on a steep slope with very wet ground.
Without the tracked system it would have been impossible to move the hundreds of tonnes of materials we needed across site. The low ground pressure and unstoppable traction from the tracked system enabled us to maneuver very heavy materials with absolute minimal impact on the terrain. This would have been impossible with any other type of vehicle.
Moorend have also serviced our machine and tracked system impeccably and have even strived to repair any defects with the machine itself quickly and thoroughly. We have never had a single issue with the track system in over 500 hours hard use.
Thanks Moorend! Great Job.

Despite taken some time to be convinced to look beyond the Norcar’s relatively high price tag, since having done so we have not looked back. We initially purchased a Norcar in late 2018, having been hiring for some time. The second followed at the end of 2019 when it became clear that we were back hiring as often as we had been before, in order to appease our clients demands.
The Norcar’s ability to access even the wettest of sites, with just over a tonne on the forks or whist towing 3.5 tonne, without leaving many clues of it having even been there, has been a real winner with some of our more discerning clients. It negates the need for vehicular access to some of our trickier sites during the winter months (or the British summer months!), allowing us to just take a tracked drilling rig and Norcar to move all equipment in and out; it has without doubt been the difference to the successful completion or otherwise, of 1 or 2 of our recent sites.
The machines have been embraced by clients from a wide range of industries; including the petroleum industry (retail sites and refineries/pipeline projects) the rail industry, brownfield construction and even some of the UK’s largest current national infrastructure projects!
I do not envisage a time where we could live without tracked Norcar’s featuring in our fleet of plant and equipment.

As a keen advocate of compact equipment fitted with rubber tracks, we are delighted to be involved with Moorend Ltd and find that their track system build quality is far superior both in the design and their capabilities in wet or dry conditions. Fitted to our Avant 750 loaders our clients are telling us of increased productivity in extreme ground conditions, and increased profitability during the often wet winter months.
